Competitions - Real or a Con?

Hi All,

After a quick scroll on Instagram, along with my morning cup of tea, a thought crossed my mind....."do people actually win these?".

In the space of 4 minutes, I've already seen 3 Competitions which are "unsold" and "great odd"!

Thing is, I've never actually seen anyone win, or post about it. Personally, if I won...I'd be shouting from the rooftop in excitement

My question.

Do you think these are real, or just plain con man behaviour?!

I knew a guy.
He entered one of these competitions and won an RS500 cosworth.
He entered the next competition and won again. This time an R34 GTR skyline in bayside blue.
Unfortunately he got caught cheating, his family and kids disowned him and he killed himself.

My mate has won loads of stuff on some fishing competition site. His friend won a Caddy on the same one, unfortunately he can't drive so got the money instead. Think it was £12k.

My sister once won a starlift in a competition. All well and good, but she js able bodied and lives in ground floor flat. I think she hoped to win the second prize, a leather jacket, but succeeded more than anticipated.

Gambling is a huge industry with very large profits and has a regulator.
With that in mind I’d assume many of these are real but would also assume there are some scoundrels out there.

i tried to win about 7 on Aspire Comps, but evrry single winner was within 10-30 miles of the comp. Seemed fishy.
