Composition Media with no Bluetooth - new head unit reqd?

Hi,

I bought my t6 thinking it had Bluetooth, but it says telephone not available when I select the phone button. After a visit to the dealership, they advised that my van had the Bluetooth disconnected as part of the spec.

What options do I have? I have the basic vw head unit, but actually quite like it, and I am happy to keep it but get the Bluetooth working. Alternatively, if the Bluetooth is not easy to fix, an aftermarket head unit is an option as that will have the Bluetooth built in so should be an easy install. My question there is how does the park assist work on an aftermarket head unit? Do you still get the visual display on screen?

Please post part number + software version (possibly item: Installed SW MU version) of the head unit. They are shown (probably) under menu "Software update".
They are something similar to: 5C0 035 680 F, 0468.

Part number is 1K8035150L, software version is 7205, and hardware version is 056.

Thanks. The headunit should( /is listed to) have Bluetooth capability - can be verified by checking the installed codes list as @Robert mentions - should have "50000" listed under installed codes.

I did get vw to look at it again as the van was sold to me as having Bluetooth, so they are covering some of the cost of putting it right.
