Connect phone to external aerial?

What a great site, you have already answered so many of my moronic questions! Had a T5 kombi for the last few years but got a 2016 caravelle se last month. It has a lot more buttons and a really nice stereo (the most basic one, composition colour). Anyway, the radio manual says there is a special compartment where my phone will connect to the vans external aerial. See owners manual. So I’ve searched the thing and every dash compartment to no avail. Does it even actually have this or is this only on posh versions?

That was my thought. Does yours have a little phone icon on the mat? Would you believe I’m a communications engineer

Thank you. I don’t think it’s fitted then. At least I know know even more about bluetooth profiles and standards!

You can check which options your van is fitted with by looking at the codes on the build sticker on the inside cover of your owner’s manual and cross referencing them with the list in the link below.
