connecting leisure battery - IS1 interface?

Hi,
I have a new T6 transporter van that I am fitting out as a camper. In terms of adding a second battery for fridge ect, I know that I need to connect via a modern dc-dc charger like a Redarc. My question is what is the best way to connect to the main starter battery for charging the second battery while the vehicle is running? Traditionally the cable is connected to the terminals of the main vehicle battery under the bonnet though I am wondering if the connection can be made at the "electrical interface for external connection - ls1" under the passenger seat (Australia) or other. Or do I need to route through to the main vehicle battery terminal under the bonnet.

Cheers,

no, this is not suitable as it is only low power circuits.
Are you sure you don't already have a large supply cable taped up under seat?

Thanks Gents. There does look to be a bunch of leads grouped together and taped at the end and zip tied to the framework.
