Cracked SCA Roof

Can anyone help.

I recently bought a one year old T6 with an SCA popup roof. When washing it for the first time I discovered a crack in the fibreglass approximately 40mm long. I have attached a photo of the crack. The company I bought it from has agreed to repair it. Does anyone know if it is OK to repair cracks like this? Also, are cracks normal or should I be worried whether there is a bigger problem with the roof for it to crack in the first place?
Any help would be appreciated.

I can't see that would be a problem to repair for a suitably skilled and equipped artisan. With a lot of these GRP type materials the repair can be stronger than the surrounding area.
