Crs vs Solow Coilovers

Your best bet is to try each setup for yourself, you’ll be pleasantly surprised I’m sure of that.

I want it low but as comfortable as possible
This is a good post by @CRS Performance - how low do you want to go?

You need to speak with @BognorMotors I can't remember which member it was but I spoke to someone here and they mentioned they had 3/4 different vans with setup from different companies (I won't mention names but some very popular ones) and they said by far the best ride/set up/service was BMVS.

They have their own custom bilsteins and demo transporters to try.

I'm not on commission but hoping a discount is coming my way soon ;)

I agree with those saying test different options first.
Wish I had rather than only going on the opinions I read.
Lesson learned.

My van is not lowered (hence me not bothering to give too much detail in my previous post) as I don’t mind the look and ride height as is and don’t want to worry when crossing fields. I went for the Koni Special Actives with stock springs. Advised more travel equals more comfort which confirmed my thinking.

And Special Actives may well be the most comfortable the van can get (even a stack of hob nobs would perform better than VW OE shocks) so I’m not throwing shade on them, I just wouldn’t rave about the ride with them like most do. I don’t find it a night and day change.
I’m likely expecting too much. But with hindsight I’d have waited until the old ones were shot and then opened my mind to other options- a small drop if that allows a better shock, and definitely testing demonstrators where available. That way I’m getting my own perspective rather than that of others.

Crs vs Solow low kit what’s best
Depends what your after , solow low are comfy low , crs don't do mega low (60mm max if I recall Steve saying once) I’m just speaking from a mates experience , he had crs h and r coilovers , he wanted it lower than Steve had set them for “comfort” so he wound it right down , the ride was awful he now runs solow lows on a fully converted van, ride is great but is very low but still very useable .

Had b14s on there lowest setting and not the greatest on my old van.. improved with the winter wheels on as 17s and not the usual 20s.. almost bought a Bognor van but their solow setup wasn’t low enough.. have solow lows on the new van and came with 20s on 35 tyres which normally are firm but blown away how well they perform! Winter wheels even better!!

So low komforts for me at lowest setting with 20’s happy with the ride but not much to compare with

Crs vs Solow low kit what’s best
CRS don’t do anything that will go as low as SoLow Low, so if you’re after the sort of lowering that SoLow Low will offer (95mm+), SoLow is the best option for you.

The comfort available at the drops SoLow low offer is remarkable. In fact, the comfort they offer through their entire range from NXT, NSL and LOW is incredible.

I’m not far from Bath, have a lot of experience with transporter suspension, from all brands, and also have lots of experience taking vans low (95mm and well beyond) and would be happy to help.
