Cruise Control

Hi All.
I have a 2018 T6 TDI Highline diesel, dsg gearbox.
Cruise control has stopped working and garage, when it went for service, said it could be one of many things.!!
Fuse hasn't gone and I've not checked anything else yet as I thought I'd ask first.
Is this a common fault and should I look anywhere specific.
I thought it might be the steering wheel buttons.
Any thought greatly appreciated.

Ah!!!
Hadn't checked that.
It had packed up BEFORE it went for its 20k mile service. So nothing they did.
I asked what were the terms for them to check it out and they said £109-00 per hour, ouch !
So I thought, I know a forum that might help.
Thought it might be the buttons because I had used the cruise control a lot.
Thanks for the suggestion and I will check it tomorrow and let you know.
