Very annoyed with myself - was pulling out of a tight junction and I’ve gone over a rock covered by long grass (which I imagine was there to prevent driving on the grass verge). Its crushed the sill in so much so that the sliding door now won’t open… I will of course get booked in a body shop ASAP, but in the interim I’d really like to be able to get in the sliding door.
I started trying to move it out the way of the sliding door with pliers but wanted to check if this will make it harder to fix because its pushing the 2 pieces of metal completely together. Circled what I mean on picture.
To fix it are they likely to just cut the sill off entirely and weld a new one on? In which case I’m fine to crack on with the pliers?
