Damaged media screen - repair possible?

Evening All,

Hopefully so of you have had the same issue? A Led has leaked in my media screen (genuine VW - reverse camera type) T6 model and Vw has said it is just out of warranty. Do anyone know if this can be repaired. You information would be greatly appreciated as a new one cost 1400 pound at least ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

The Discover Media unit is well known to start playing up after a while. Dead sections of touchscreen (typically top right corner), phantom touches, skipping radio channels, random phone calls can all happen.
There are a few threads about it and this one talks about repairs. It is possible but unlikely to prevent it from happening again.

We can repair these and fit new screens - We've done a few now and they are getting more common because of the failing touchscreens

That’s great to hear (that it can be repaired) I am based in Bristol? What sort of price is it to replace the screen?
