will the parking mode work if I piggyback on the suggested fuse slots ? just purchased an auto Vox x2 and about to hardwire it..

Ignition live is only powered when the van is running.

Does parking mode need a 24/7 power feed?

If you run a Dash cam from the starter battery 24/7 it will most prob run it flat offer a day or two.

I used a power magic pro £30 setup through the fuse box you set it to how long you want the camera to stay on for I have it set for 12hr any longer than this it’s on my drive.

It’s then connected to my WiFi so will send notifications to my phone, bought as it also works with Pandora car alarm system which I’ve planned to have fitted this year before I start my conversion, gives me price of mind against the outlay

I used a power magic pro

Where have you fitted the Power Magic Pro; presumably you can access it to disable the parking recording mode if you want to?
My van converter fitted my Blackvue system and it uses a different timer set to 24 hours but I’d like instead to install the Power Magic with its switch and adjustment capability.

I put it just above the footwell of passenger seat I can then switch it off if required, but seldomly do.

It is fused by the front access just below the gear box, cones with all required cables just needs a piggy back fuse from Halfords and it’s a self diy fit.
