Day van interiors pics thread

I like the carbon fibre inserts in the seats

@Mfwic you need to do this caravelle rail conversion the triple seat can be moved to the front of the van so you have a big boot space or all the way back to rear hatch if you want lots of living space.
The triple seat weighs 90kg so bit of a handful getting it out if needed.
I can put you in contact with high line campers in oswestry that can do the conversion for you I did mine in Oxford before my m8 Matty started up on his own

Very nice. I am equally doing the day van option. Was looking at the 3x1 rear seat option. Ditched that idea back end of last year and now planning on the caravelle double rail system myself.

Cheers @andythom188 If you can texts or WhatsApp me the number I'll give him a call and pop over to see him. I probably looking for the impossible but he may guide me on the best solution for what I'm looking to do.2 seats 2.jpg2 seats.jpg

This is the sort of set up I'm looking for with a 3rd single seat sat behind as and when required. I'd like captain seats to make it more luxurious for travelling in the rear and when using the van as a mobile office.

I also want to be able to remove them all for when we are camping so I can use a blow up mattress.

A grand just for the rails. That’s daylight robbery!

That's brand new I paid £600 for second hand then had to shell out another £230 for new rail covers
Ouch. So that’s Caravelle seating system on the “can’t afford” list! That list is getting longer by the day.

I'd be looking for 3 x captains in cloth so assume that will be more.
Assuming total budget cost of around 3-4K for start to finish for everything including fitting?

Around £400 each for single cloth swivels ,Colin from t5 Oxford charged me £350 labour for fitting rails and needed approx £100 for extra chassis brackets.
You can sell your rear kombi seats to recoupe price of 3 rear single chairs

Well thanks very much for making it even worse; MATE.
So quick tot up
£1000 for rails
£1,200 for 3 seats
£200 brackets and unforeseens
£ 350 fitting
Total £2,750.00
Minus £750 for sale of existing seats.

Grand Total £2 k

If my math is good and there is nothing I’ve missed then that could “just” squeeze into the “can afford” list.

Hope that’s made it better @DaveyB

PS. @andythom188 If I do away with the sliding table will I only need a single rail ?

@Mfwic don’t forget you will then need to make/ buy the floor, new rear threshold trim and side door steps (as the caravelle floor sits higher than the transporter floor).
@andythom188 how did you blend the height difference between the front transporter floor (I.e between driver and passenger seats), and the Caravelle rear?
I’m thinking I will need to be soldiering on as I am currently with the Kombi bed.
