Diagnostic check

Hi can any one tell me when vw dealer plugs van in for diagnostic check whether any faults show a date or time when they first occured .

Yes, normally there is a date recorded and a frequency etc.

Thanks for confirming , in a dispute with vw about warranty dpf light came on saturday pm warranty run out on Sunday they diagnosed Monday vw warranty people won't pay for a new nox sensor quoting me over 1k to replace, they have told me today they acknowledged the fault occured on saturday so the fight goes on.
