Diesel heater location

Where is the best place for a diesel heater to be located and why?

1.Under the van
2.under diver seat?

Under van in OEM location for me.... Leave space under the seat for leisure battery.

More space inside
Quieter
Arguably less risk of fumes leak into van
2. Inside
Less likely to get damaged if you make a habit of driving through Rufford Ford.
