Difficulties with fitting in a lower grille

Hello all,

Recently purchased T6 Lower Gloss Black Grilles 3pcs For Vehicles With Radar Sensor 15 Onwards for my t6 (2019 Shuttle) transporter but cannot seem to install it as the original ones are glued in with the front bumper.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

This might help, I seem to remember the grill on my can being clipped and fused, you’ll need to cut the bonding.

Oh I had that drama.. pain in the arse!!

Click them all together jnto once peice, then found it easier to clip in the bottom ones first then stretch in

Although they are not glued but pulled off with a trim tool

I've just replaced both grilles on mine - you do need to remove the front bumper completely - see above YouTube video. The lower grille is much more difficult, but it wasn't bonded in, you just need to work along the clips one at a time with a small screwdriver, accessed from the back. It will also be very helpful to have a buddy help you on this.

You certainly have to remove the front bumper as these grill are 100% clipped in and are not an easy task to remove. Lots of patience required and a good set of trim tools.

Certainly no glue of any sort in there.

You don’t have a startline by any chance?
The lower grill is different on them. Its a one piece and is a part of the main bumper and isn’t removable.
