Discover Media MIB STD2 PQ + nav - Amp repair

Hey everyone. Does anyone know if the discover media internal amp can be replaced? Blown mine after an emergency jump start. Sad

Looks to me like the amplification chip is under this big heatsink. It's a surface mount part, so will need someone with a bit of skill to replace. Without knowing the part number I can't tell if it can be easily sourced, I would imagine it is possible.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah the part is easily available, just wanted to know if it's the sort of thing that could be done by someone who is competent, ie not me.

Yeah, it's a lot easier than some of the chips people have to swap these days.
