Do I need OEM wheel bolts?

Hi All I bought my Camper a couple o weeks ago and it came with 20" wheels with 275/40/20 tyres, whilst they have only done about 4,000 miles I am looking to go back to something more standard (17" or 18"), would I need to change the wheel bolts as mine look to be different to standard and are chrome.

Regards

All depends on what bolts and pitch you have on yours. We have many sets of Devonports - new and used for sale and we will supply them with bolts.

Chances are if your going standard Vw alloys/ steels you’ll need Vw nuts yes.

Thanks so much for all your help, really appreciate it. I know the 20" look really cool but I want to tour France, Spain and Italy and think 17" will be a nicer ride.

I am a VW Audi nut and have had all sort but want the nicer ride and MPG at this point.

Much better for touring and more options for tyres if you come unstuck when abroad

Did exactly that swap out. Have you been to France recently… everywhere on entering small villages and towns have sleeping policemen that make U.K. ones look like a mouse poo. .. they pretty much killed our suspension and shocks over a 3 week period. I find it difficult to slow to 10kph to get onto them and even less getting off. Anyways enjoyed the 20s for four years and on a new set of 17 Devonports.. maybe not quite such a theft magnet now but once you can drive onto a kerb, up a fire road, onto gravel track etc in a fully loaded camper there was no going back. Best money I spent this year was changing shocks for Koni Sports. Magic carpet ride imho. Good luck with it.

But, he said he was a VW Audi nut….how can he be a VW Audi bolt?!!

* I will get my coat!
Lol I haven't taken the wheels off yet, my T25 had both. I suppose it's just confusing as I started looking at locking wheel nuts not bolts.
