Dodgy Diesel - Any idea what this could be??

Well the garage confirmed there was some issue with the fuel and agreed to pay for the repairs (new high pressure fuel pump etc) but my VW garage is beyond inept in their communication. 3-4 chase emails to get a reply. How a customer service department can operate that way just show complete lack of intelligence!

No answer from them tomorrow and I'll have to go back to the plc that operate the dealership.

Its beyond a joke now, over 15 years wanting a caravelle, finally get one and the service from the dealer is more annoying than the error from the garage with their fuel!

how frustrating especially as the petrol station has admitted liability (which I would of thought is the harder bit !)

Oh its beyond frustrating.

7:45am Received email from garage (after multiple chases), I replied at 8:06 and as yet no reply - how can that be all I asked for was a copy of their email to XYZ customer services that they apparently sent last week! I smell BS!!

Dealer will be exposed on here when I'm finished!

Sadly not! Dealer been awaiting injectors for bloody ages, was supposed to be the 31st Oct but now late Nov at the earliest.

Oh and the replacement vehicle VW aren't covering the costs as not a warranty issue which is fair enough I guess but I'd not been informed at you'd at least expect they'd tell the hire company and I sign a new agreement - I think VW only just realised and before they told me they approached the company where I got the fuel to see if they will pay (no answer on that yet). I've constantly been saying the replacement vehicle isn't suitable but I've gone for the "its free and I'll have my car back soon" approach.

Considering taking legal advice, I've had all the finance payments on the car, no use of the family car we've waited for so long to own. For sure first world problems and all that but starting to feel VW taking way longer than it should, I'm aways chasing them, takes ages to get a reply but I don't want to risk further delays.

For sure the initial problem was the fuel and without that this wouldn't have happened but I don't think the dealer is "on it" enough.

Very frustrating :-(

Maybe just make an anonymous call to the parts department and see how fast they say they can get an injector in for.
It's been a long time without your van now. I'm sure we'd all be in a similarly frustrated state if it was us. Possibly more so.

Thats not a bad idea, my dad used to be "in the trade" I might get him to give someone a call.

Its totally nuts - how can there not be injectors in the UK for it!

Sheesh, makes me glad I don't ever use supermarket fuels, regardless on all the arguments about all fuels being the same, I will stick to V-power. Been using it for years, and never had a single issue with any of my vehicles... (hope i've not just jinxed my T6)

Me too!

We used the same garage for over 15 years without any issues, I'm sure the same issue can happen at other garages. Is the fuel better at say Shell or BP, maybe so but that is a separate matter.

Saying that I won't be using that fuel again when I get it back!

Its gets worse....

"Parts are expected to arrive on the 21st however this could move (waiting for production of this part)"

When I questioned this:

"The parts are supplied differently to us as they are to the production line. Assembly in different locations and quantity’s they may have placed for their location etc."

Anyone here a friendly VW dealer who can enlighten me on this part?

Its all getting beyond a joke I'm getting to the point I don't want it back!

I wonder what they'd do with a customer like me, because my van is my business, and without my van, I cannot get to my customers.
I asked this question when I purchased my van, and they said they'd provide an equivalent van to use whilst mine is being fixed. The issue is, when I purchased my new Vivaro 2 years ago, I was told exactly the same, only to then be told when I did need a vehicle, that I couldn't use it for business use.
Plus loosing my van for these lengths of time, and them giving me a vehicle would not be great news for them because of the mileage I do. I've already done 3000 miles in the 3 weeks I've owned it.

It's getting to the point where I'm considering getting a lawyer involved for the Fuel company and VW

why not get a spurious injector , surely any independent parts specialist can source one?

there are plenty of independent vag parts suppliers.

or buy one from a breakers?

maybe you've tried that

What dont you get about the description ?
Ignore the M & V
04L 130 277 AP = Part number
N/STOCK = this is a non stock item ie special order
INJECTUNIT = this is the part description ie an injector unit
4.00 = quantity ordered
302.84 EACH = net price per injector
03 = product group, not really relevant here but each product group has different discounts etc

Sorry Pauly what I meant was if anyone could enlighten me if they could get hold of it or some proper facts why it’s not available.

I find it unbelievable that it’s not an available part. I appreciate it might not be sitting on every dealers shelves but surely the parts aren’t specific to only 2015 Caravelles.

How can there be no injectors for my car in Europe?

Another local gas engineer has been without his new Peugeot Expert van for over 3 months.
He filled up with only Tesco diesel, all receipts to prove this for 1500 miles.
Tesco have admitted liability, Peugeot cannot get the parts to get his van back on the road,
shocking from Peugeot and Vw.
