Hi all,
I've read countless posts on this forum about sound deadening and see that silent coat seems to be the go to product.
However is it really that much better for the significant price hike over the dodo product?
Has anyone used both products or have a side by side comparison between the two?
I want to do the whole van.......including front doors ceiling and floor. With the amount i need to get coverage it will cost a 1/3 more to do it in silent coat compared to dodo.
I wouldn't say I'm tight when it comes to spending money....but if the difference is negligible the id rather save the pennies/pounds for further mods

Yes done mine with dodo run out sum one give me silent coat to finish off the back I can not see the difference I also used the sticky in Insiolation on top so that might make a difference but it did not sound any difference it’s all good hope this help

Cheers for the info fella. Think I've just saved myself a few quid.

I used the cheap stuff from Amazon.... seems the same to me.

Here’s some info from a trader / fitter:
They all do the basic job of reducing resonance frequency

However we only use Dynamat on the ceiling, as lesser brands will eventually fall off, seen it many times, Dynamat sticks so much better and will not come off, it also comes in much larger sheets, which again is better suited for audio installs.

We do also use Skinz (black in colour) which comes in twice the sheet size of Silent coat, and I can do these in bulk packs at a very competitive price

I clean my roof and then used glue to key it stuck dodo mat on it but used high temperature glue then put The mating on top of that was hot for couple of days seams ok all sandwich in with head liner now

Can you remember what glue you used?
