Domestic fridge crx50

Does any body no if the crx50 domestic fridge have a winter mode difficult working in cold conditions or do we just turn heating up in van on a evening

Ok we didn’t use the heater last week end dropped to 10 degrees and below in the van it says on instructions will work between 16 and above will need to use heater cheers

We have used our van in sub-zero external temperatures on a number of occasions without using the diesel heater and no issues with the fridge - suggest to just give it a try now the colder months are upon us; I suspect that you could be pleasantly surprised!

But did the fridge stop working? Putting the heater on to keep the fridge cold….:geek:

No didn’t stop the compressor wasn’t coming on as often but still did work you can normally hear it now and then during the night but noticed it wasn’t as cold inside

Surely the compressor won’t need to come on too often as the temp outside the fridge is lower so the fridge is not fighting to maintain temp.
There doesn’t appear to be any logic in warming the van up to make the fridge turn on.
I have the same fridge and use my van in sub zero temps sometimes (Scotland in winter) and it works great.

Likewise, we use our van all year round, including skiing in the Alps, never been an issue.
