Evening all I'm sure this is as rare as hens teeth, but I'm after a glass lid for the right hand sink on a 9722, even after reading the caution sticker on the glass the wife still put the kettle on it and the inevitable happened bang it went. Suppliers are saying nothing in stock till the end if Novemeber due to import issues. New or old would be a benefit
Regards

Is the glass replaceable, then? It looked to me like they were not serviceable parts..

Evening Ads, yes just 2 screws and it's off, just hard to get one from any where before we go away again.

I think you are better off buying a whole sink.
I replaced some rusty hinges on a Dometic sink and they were well over half the price of the sink, plus they are rusty again!

Ye the hinges are fine as the unit is only 1yr old but it may come to that and sell the rest on
Cheers

Had the same issue last year and took nearly 4 months to get a replacement. They go off with some bang. Stock came available just as I was about to order a complete unit for spares

Try a glass specialist, they should be able to cut and drill the glass if you provide the sizes.

There’s no reason why the cover has to be made of glass, especially as it’s broken before, why risk it again?
Preferably something non absorbent, wipe clean and can take a hot pan without scratching.
How about Corian?

For my old van I made a wooden board to fit then it was good for hot things and as a chopping board, you don't need a hinge.

My BiL broke his, got some local metal benders to do one in Aluminium. No problem with hot kettle now!

Cheers for all the advice and looking at getting mate out of a different material that will take the heat

Happened to me. I replaced my RH side glass via eBay and southdevoncampervans. They have LH side on sale at the mo but worth messaging for a RHS? Cost £94!

Same here a few days ago, RH side went which costs over £80 and if the other side goes that £130, not sure toughened glass is the best thing for these so ordered some aluminium and made new lids for both sides at less than £40 for the lot! I think they look as good as the glass ones and a lot safer!
