This is our existing pre VW camping fridge, can confirm they are brilliant. Standard aerosol gas cartridge like the very common picnic stoves, we found one would give just over a day of fridge so we changed them each morning and used the reminder in the stove for the day.

Anywhere with good ventilation. On gas.

Ie awning, but not inside the van.

But can be used anywhere on electric, inside or out. 12v or 240v.

We use ours in the massive canvas 15th century tent, which by its nature is reasonably drafty.

It's not a massive flame more like a large candle, so if you think "where would I leave a pillar candle burning 24/7" they're fine.
