Dometic Inflatable VW Campervan Air Awning Draught Skirt Wind Protection SWB Fit

Hello Forum Members,
This is the first time I’ve used a forum so not sure what sort of response I’m expecting. Anyway, here goes:
I have a VW Transporter that was professionally converted by Cambridge Campervans and I have an Isabelle air awning already and thinking of buying a Dometic Inflatable VW Campervan Air Awning Draught Skirt Wind Protection SWB Fit.
It goes between the wheels and is blown up to provide a wind seal.
My hopefully simple question is that my VW has genuine VW mudflaps fitted (the front flap doesn’t come down very far to the ground) and J wondered if the draught skirt will still fit. Presume it will as the skirt will probably blow up around it.
Has anyone got one of these skirts with mud flaps and does it work ok?
It’s only about £50 to buy but thought I’d ask before I buy. Thanks

Just got one of these myself. Can’t say whether it will fit or not as not tried yet. I too am assuming it will inflate around the sidebars/mudflats even if it’s not fully inflated. Got a reasonable price from eBay.

Hi David! Welcome to our friendly forum! There's not many of us that bite!
Don't forget it's an assumed law of the forum to post a picture of your van just so that more sceptical members believe you have one! And naturally we are a nosey bunch!
Regarding your particular request, we have never had an issue because so much gear gets decanted under the van when we pitch up, the wind has no way through!
Looking forward to a picture or three!

I did have one of these but never used it as the awning had a sewn-in groundsheet and a closable door so drafts weren't a problem. I did inflate it, just to check, without mudflap though. The 'skirt' was fairly firm so as to become squashed and grip between the van and floor. I would be concerned that it would not deform or mould itself around the mudflap - that is a sharp protrusion and so would very much limit the pressure you could put inside the skirt to get it to hold in place.
