Double swivel issue, go single or better swivel

Had the van converted when i bought it. The swivel is terrible, rocks like mad when you sit on it and really hard to turn. It’s cuffing the pillar terribly, no matter how gently I try. I even bought a Kiravans single swivel for the drivers. So my query really is, do i go down the route of a single, or are their ones which rotate without catching the pillar. Happy to pay for a single and get more seat covers, but need to get it right this time. If i go down the route of a single, does it just bolt in to the same holes.

Hello bud, 1st of all, are you saying you're prepared to go from a double seat to a single seat?

Hi Danny, i am yes. If that’s the best option then definitely. I will need new seat covers, but I’m prepared to do that. People rave about the kiravans double swivel but i just want to be sure

If you already have a double seat you will be fine swapping straight to a single seat. No air bag issues.
Then once you have your single seat fitted (dead easy) go for the kiravan swivel, I went for the non offset one. Really sturdy but they do rock a little as you're pivoting on a 100mm diameter point rather than 4 bolts at each corner. Really easy to swivel and doesn't snag anything.
I've recently gone through the same journey and although not technically minded I did the lot in 2hrs including the drivers swivel.

I've got the Kiravan double seat swivel as it came with the Redline camper conversion, it's a right ballache if you're trying to impress someone by showing them how easily it converts direction as the only thing it doesn't catch on is the spare wheel... I guarantee that as soon as nobody is watching the ruddy thing turns perfectly, that aside they're an excellent bit of kit but do jack the seat up an extra inch in height.
