Hi All,

Perhaps I’m being dense here but I want to remove my drivers seat leaving the base in place allowing me to do my battery install.
Is there a way to do this? Sure I had seen a thread about it but of course now I can’t!

Any help appreciated!

Just undo the the two nuts at the front and two bolts at the rear.... Inline with the seat runners... The loft the seat off the base.

Be careful... It's heavy. And watch out for the door card.... An old blanket for protection works.

Eg..

Yeah it's not that hard, just 4 bolts/nuts to undo
The hardest bit is trying to lift up the seat whilst also disconnecting the plugs underneath (airbag, heated seat) with one hand and trying to not drop it!

Don't forget to never switch on the ignition with the airbag connector disconnected as you'll get an error that'll need to be cleared.

Thanks all

Yeah think I was being dense! Slide seat forwards and two nuts then back and remove two nuts…..bulkhead obviously needs to come out to make this a little simpler

Hello. What size socket is needed for this? Does it need to have an extension?

Can the cabels for 12v and EHU from under the bonnet be fed to under the seat without taking the seat base out?

If I need to take the seat base out, does that need a spine bit? If so what size and type?

Many thanks

Possibly but once the seat is out its a doddle to take the base off so you can lift the flooring (carpet/mat) to feed the cables through.
