E TRANSPORTER tsi conversion

Hey all

Is anyone really clued up on wiring/coding here

I have a 2019 t6 startline tsi

And also a 2021 E transporter

I want to doner the engine, loom and engine wiring into the E Van

I understand that the E van all come as 150ps diesel before ABT got hold of them.
This makes me think that it can be done as I've already done a tsi into a diesel but both were on t6s.
Few wires missing in the diesel loom but was all easy enough to work out.

Now this is why I'm more concerned this time..

The E vsn has...

1. Led lights
2. Different steering rack so I'm told but not checked yet.

That startline is basic as we know.
Now I understand that all this is down to coding but I know that the LED headlight loom is not the same as halogen in the t6 as I've already done this conversion also.

Is there anyone out there who can confirm if they can help with coding once the engine is in or say weather the t6 tsi ecu will plug into the t6.1 loom

I know it might be a better question on a t6.1 forum but as I'm not a member on there I though I'd ask here.

If that's not transparent enough please advise and I will give more info

thanks all

T6 and T6.1 electrical platforms are different. You can’t run T6.1 leds on a T6 without come sort of canbus adapter.

The steering rack on a T6.1 is different to a T6

Deaky

Thanks for your reply

If I use the t6 steering rack that would solve one issue.

Canbus for leds, will that be a issue or is it something I can do

I have to ask these questions before I start stripping the 6.1 as it's sat in the unit ready to be done.

It's a decision I am still not stuck on

Just another thought.

I was going to leave the interior cab loom In the 6.1 as it looks to me that it's the same as a t6 meaning, the front bumper headlight loom is part of the interior loom.

In drivers side bulkhead out passenger side into fuse/plug holder box in front passenger wing.

So I was thinking this could stay there ?

Think I’ve misunderstood what you’re trying to do. Are you just looking to transplant the engine and engine ECU from a T6 into a T6.1?

Yes

2019 t6 tsi

Into

2021 E transporter

Rip the electrical shite out and put in the tsi engine

I was hoping take all this from the tsi
engine
engine loom
Ecu
Clocks [I'll have to customise to fit]
Keys
Locks

Or just get the ecu de immobilised so I don't have to worry about the keys

I would leave the rest of the loom.

I know on a t6 diesel to t6 tsi its missing a fre wires that run the fuel pump but otherwise the actual cab loom is nearly the same

All the E transporter were originally 150ps when they left the factory so thinking the loom may also be the same in this too

All your help is really appreciated

But you’re not putting it into a t6 which is PQ25 electrical platform, it’s going into a T6.1 which is MBQ electrical platform. The majority of the modules are not interchangeable. It’s unlikely you’ll be able to fit a T6 cluster into a T6.1 van and it works.

You clearly know more then me

So after you're last response I did a quick search on the platforms and I understand what and why they have moved to the mbq

So for me it's the end of the line before it all started :)

Do you know of any other vw petrol engine that will run mbq platform onto a t6.1

Thanks again

I have taken out ecus of both vans

Tsi is Bosch

6.1 is Delphi

You mention the moduls won't work but which you referring too

The t6.1 ecu loom plugs into the tsi ecu.. I know that may not mean anything but it all new to me
