Went to fire up the eberspacher heater today but it wouldn’t fire and blow hot air.
The fan runs and I can hear a ticking noise but it never fires and gets warm.
I have checked the diagnostic codes and I have F1 52 F0 52
How I hate Eberspachers! Their technical documentation is diabolical. Fault codes are impossible to decipher - they just refer you to the dealer! If you have the 801 controller you are likely to have a D2 or D4 model.
But... from what I have gleaned from my manuals the 52 part of the code is basically saying that it did not start ( which we already know ) the 01 may be over voltage ( this is an undocumented code ).
I would just run through the basics -
remove power from the heater and controller for at least 30 seconds and reconnect to try to clear any faults.
check that you have fuel present in the fuel line with no air bubbles. Are you low on fuel ( possibly stand pipe has been incorrectly fitted )
check the voltage as the heater is beginning to start up ( as close to the heater as possible )
To tag onto the back of this. My airtronic d2 with 801 is showing fault code 52 so firing up but no heat. Anyone recommend anywhere in (ideally) north wales to have a chat with?
