Eberspacher pump noise

The pump is making a regular ‘soft tick’ when it’s on (lower power mode, I have not tried any other mode yet).

How can I make it quieter?

Remount using bungees and/or rubber mountings. Also ensure the fuel line isn't touching the bodywork.
There are also more expensive pumps which are supposed to be quieter but you'd still need to mount those the same otherwise any vibration is transferred through the bodywork.
That's all you can do.
I know, not helpful if camped up in the van now.
Tonight all you can do is turn up the heating which will get rid of the noise and maybe pop a window so it doesn't get too hot but even then if the thermostat senses it's reached temperature it will slow the pump down and the ticking will come back.

Why does it only do it on the lower temp settings? I’ve got my temp set to 17 degrees Celsius

They will tick as this is normal. It's likely resonating through the mounting point. So you need to isolate it from this area. The rubber mount it has works but not brilliantly. You could dismount and support away from the chassis to make quieter

Thanks I have found a service centre in Cornwall so will be talking to them about making it quieter.

I got it fixed today.
Was actually cable tied to the ad-blue hose and was knocking against the chassis.

They installed the pump on its proper bracket and is now silent. (I went to ESPAR in Plymouth).IMG_8383.jpeg

Nice! The tick sound is the pump sending a pulse of fuel and completely normal, the higher the heat setting, the more fuel needed and the faster the tick. I have a factory fitter eberspacher and the ticking is barely noticeable when inside the van.

No I’m not getting into that game.
I’ve contacted them for a warranty claim so I can get the repair money back.
