Eberspacher - should I complain?

Evening. So today i took my t6 to the local auto electrical specialists who are allegedly qualified to maintain/service Eberspacher heaters.

For possibly the last year, I’ve not been able to use my heater as it just seems tempremental and if lucky, we’ll get a short period of time with a bit of heat but then just packs in and blows cold air. Puts you off attempting it knowing if it doesn’t work (which I know it won’t) it’ll just blow cold air into an already cold van. So after having not used it at all this year I decided to book it in to the locals.

They called me to say there was no fault and it was working fine. I was sceptical as I’ve been trying to figure it out for a while now.

So went to collect the van, paid £100 for the experienced eye cast over it and off I went.

Started it up tonight, sure enough, pumping out hot air……success!!. Then it stopped and did the usual cold air nonsense.

Quick YouTube tutorial (which I’d done before I may add but had maybe hoped the experts would have plugged in some sort of diagnostic machine for further investigation) and I’ve managed to find the historical faults.

So my question is, £100 lighter, should I get back in touch and ask what exactly was done to check this because the invoice seems a little vague imo.

Just a bit peeved it’s not fixed, adding insult to the £900 I just paid yesterday to get it through the mot!

Yes.

They haven't shown it working, and haven't proven to you that they had it working while you weren't there.
