EGR Delete or just disable? Cardiff

Hello all, 40k and it looks like my EGR cooler is blocked up…

5 gear , 102bhp i think

I was going to just replace the cooler however a garage informed me that the EGR would not need blanking off if the valve was still working.

The cost to delete is not far front he cost of a new cooler as I can do that myself

What would you do. And do you know anyone in cardiff who could delete it?

The cooler and valve are not separate components, it’s a single EGR unit.

This is my one, looks like 4 bolts to remove the cooler from the egr valve. I’ve had a price for the cooler also. Is that not right then?

If you put that PN into Google it shows a complete EGR Module.

Have a word with your supplier and feedback if the cooler is available separately.
At 40K miles the EGR valve will also benefit from cleaning / replacement.
EDIT: also shows valve & gasket without the cooler? Best clarify with your supplier.
