Hi all
My 2016 T6 Caravelle has always had slightly inconsistently closing electric sliding doors. The cills are often wet and sometimes a little water collects there. They both show some rustiness, but there's not really any bare metal anywhere to see. I've previously thought the rust might have come from the roller blind mechanism that has rusted in the open position since the side window leaks must have dumped water into the door lining.
Anyway, today I tried to have a better look as the last few days the driver's side door has refused to close past 2/3. I have noticed that when the door is in the open position it can be lifted a few mm, leading me to believe that the bearings have worn.
Is this likely to be the bearings/runners on the lower bracket?
I'm looking for advice on how to fix this; what parts to look into ordering, and how to to do the repair.
Thanks everyone.
