Engine battery charging using leisure battery?

Correct from solar only. (On a ctek d250sa)

No, smart pass wont help.

You need a seperate charger for the starter battery.......

Either a reverse charger or separate mains charger.

Eg....

.

I’m also going to get this at 3.3m do I can connect to the battery and then fit it behind the drivers seat so I can see how much charge is in the battery.
I can Aldo them plug the charger into it and into a socket in the van and then plug the van in it also means when I’m on hookup I can charge/ trickle charge the battery on site if required.

@Deaky I've Just added proper solar and the votronic trickle charger for the starter battery. Running off the load output from the victron saolar control same as you, what settings have you set for high and low voltage please?

High 13.6v Low 13.5v

Dead simple. Wire from load output to "I BOARD" and a wire from "II START" to your starter battery (or the starter connection at your Orion) Set the voltage you want the load to turn on and off in the app and it just works automatically.
Hi there, I know its an old post bit I'm looking at doing the same. Could or can you remember what you set the app voltage for yours or does it depend on the battery itself I have a 110ah agm fitted. Also is the mppt app or the orion app that you make the change in I have a 110ah agm fitted. Thanks
