error code P20EE SCR Nox Catalyst

Hi I am in Austria. I travelled out last week.

On the way out I got a warning that my Ad Blue was at 600 miles. So I filled up the ad blue tank and it only took 8l: I thought it was 13 l tank. I checked the Carista and I got an error code P20EE SCR Nox Catalyst below threshold. So I reset it, Ad Blue still showed 600 mile, the warning was still there but about 70 m miles later jumped to 6000 and stayed there despite me doing about 800 miles. The error code came back the following morning after about 600 miles of motorway driving but the van is running fine just seems to be down on MPG. Any ideas? It is still under an extended warranty.

Another strange one is that my fan on 1, 2 & 3 isn't working. level 4 is fine. If I switch on the the aircon it works as it should on 1 - 4 i.e. off when switched off and on when fan on. The recirculation button also failed but is now back. Again any ideas?

Anyway off to the slopes!

3 different issues.
1st adblue needs a sofftware update/fix
2nd often related to failed regenerations @mmi is your man for these
3rd, you have a blown heater resister.

I did a forced regen 2 months ago.

I’ll get it under the extended warranty and get the others sorted.

@mmi any advice?

@Loz - Once again the ACC failed when i got out of the chunnel :rolleyes:. Hit a bump in road joining the M11 and it was back. So that's getting sorted as well.

I could be extending the warranty for another year :uh run:

To me, with a long journey imminent, adblue is like oil, water and tyre checks - you don’t have to wait till the dash warning appears.

I’ve also posted in other threads that I believe keeping it well topped up will prevent some of the faults. With a greater proportion of air in the tank the adblue is more likely to crystalise (I’ve seen it do this on the 2L top up bottle I reuse to fill small / measured quantities). Only a theory - time will tell.

My Ad Blue was initially showing 4000 miles when I left (2500 return journey to Austria) and then the error appeared telling me it was at 600 miles after i'd driven 100 miles down the M40. Topped it right up and it took 8 litres so in a 13l tank something is amiss. I'll take @Loz advice and discuss a SW update with the service guys.

@mmi any advice?
Most likely 1st and 2nd would be cured by a software update.

The 2nd without emission light on dash (yellow engine) is not a significant. Unfortunately Carista doesn't distinguish if the fault is active or just a glitch recorded sometime in the past.

To confirm that please post "Detailed ECU info"-report (under Carista Service menu)

The engine light came in on the 2 NOx event.

From the codes below I think I need the ACC sorting out.

The engine light came in on the 2 NOx event.

From the codes below I think I need the ACC sorting out.
There should be a software update available for the engine.

Re the ACC - does it work?

For the actual faults see here:

However, Carista doesn't distinguish whether the faults are active or just a listing from the past.

Did you clear the faults at the time?
The 1540 was not in the earlier log.
