Evo 4.4 Top Load Worktop Cupboard/Larder

I've installed a Evo Design 4.4 furniture package to my T6 SWB Kombi Camper Conversion. It has, at the right hand end of the worktop, a top loading locker/cupboard/larder (not quite sure on the right description). Our intent is to use it for dry good food storage but it would be better if you could have a wire basket or something to pull up and out rather than rummaging in a deep locker every time you want something out of there.

Has anyone been down a similar line and found a suitable answer?

We don’t have the same furniture, but had a similar issue. I made an open top box out of mdf which was about half the height of the unit, and which rested on 2 bits of wood that I screwed in half way down inside.
Added 2 cord handles to lift it out. Works well for us.

I've converted five Transporters and always installed the kitchen furniture with a top loading storage locker at the rear end of the work surface. It's worth noting that all my vans have been LWB versions which does make a difference to the available space in this position.

We use the locker for storage of 95% of the food that doesn't need to be in the fridge.
