Extension piece for tailgate lock - Wanted

You know, the little bit of metal that allows the tailgate to lock securely but leaves a gap around the seal to assist with ventilating the van when its hot.


I've tried searching with various different terms to no avail, nothing in the shop either.

What are they called and where can I get one please.
