Factory optional "upgraded suspension" (Code 2MR) removal of spare wheel - spare options?

Hey all,
My 2023 T6.1 (LWB 4Motion) came with the optioned code 2MR upgraded suspension.

"Upgraded Suspension, shock absorption and stabilizer bars for Off Road - Perm. Front axle load: 1680kg (regular use) Removal of spare wheel, 1G8 Breakdown Mobility Kit forced"

Is there a way a spare wheel can be fit back into the spare wheel carrier? The space for it is there however there is no wheel holding bar/plate installed. Or does the upgraded suspension get in the way of where the wheel would sit. Tried to have a look under but didn't seem to see where it would impeded on a wheel?

Anyone else had this issue before?

I assume the code 2MR is just T32 suspension in a T30 van, but I would rather rely on a spare wheel if it's possible to fit than a mobility kit or maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Not quite sure exactly what you are asking but if the spare wheel well is available, then the equipment for carrying the spare wheel can normally be bought.

I'm confused as much as you, the van coming with the upgraded suspension automatically removes the spare wheel as per the code description and replaces it with a mobility kit, I'm just unsure why they would do that.

Unless the whole wheel wheel is actually fully removed to fit the suspension and not able to be re-fitted.

Edit: The more I look at pictures on line, I wonder if it's just the holding brace that is missing and therefore could just get one of those and good to go...

Van is a Transporter but id imagine it's mostly the same under there?

I also have an empty wheel well. I had considered fitting the wheel carnying equipment. I did not pursue this because of the risks of theft which has been covered somewhere on these pages/ That and the awkward messy extraction of filthy spare and reloading of knackered tyre all in the wet and mud and all that encompasses. Perhaps something else can go in the vacant well, air suspension kit? Tank of some sort and so on. I have pontificated on that for quite some time

Weight.

T32 suspension is heavier + it's 4Mo (heavier) and they need to keep it plated at T30.

So loose 80kg ish on wheel, carrier and associated gubbins.

Bingo, back under 3,000kg GVW
Makes complete sense putting it that way. Thanks!
