Fan Belt Trouble

Hi has any one had noise coming from fan belt.
Sounds like I've got a chirppy bird in there.
Had belt replaced last year noise back again.

Are you sure its the auxiliary belt and not the cam belt, as there was a recall for some for the cam belt tensioner.

Hi did check recall but none for my van.
Had belt changed then went quite till damp morings arrived.
No contact from vw tho about recalls.
Noise goes away after driving a bit

can you catch it on video (on your phone?)

could be a bearing in a tensioner (as @Loz above)

or could be a belt that need to be tightened up a bit.

Mine is actually exactly the same...only seems to do it if it’s damp / wet as you say (or after washing). Goes away once driven a mile or so... I’d be interested to know if there IS a fix for this...just been ignoring it so far...

Only if correctly tensioned and tensioning system not worn.

When I queried the recall I was told it’s not a recall but a service action and only taken if the belt is making the squelching sound.

Even if my vans out off warrenty now warrenty was out in september
