Hi all
19 plate 150 DSG panel van.
Engine management light illuminated so in for diagnosis we went.
Diagnosed as Fault code P24C6 - engine logging fault with “temperature sensor for particulate sensor”
The garage were advised by VW to drill a 3mm hole in the DPF casing to allow condensation to drain away.
(Clearly a design fault that has caused the failure of the sensor in the first place, and a problem I see other t6 owners embracing in the future)
Sensor G784 must also be replaced. However I don’t have the £450 quoted by the garage at the moment and am concerned about further clogging the DPF as it won’t regenerate.
My only option is to pick up a sensor cheaper and replace myself.
I can’t find any previous threads but surely I’m not the first to experience this particular problem.
Has anyone solved this problem or know the order/part number for the replacement sensor?
Much appreciated
