Flaky Paint

Following on from my other issue with the paint cracking on the Reimo roof which was repaired under warranty but needed 2 x 350 mile round trips to drop off/pick up and a lot of wrangling to get travel costs reimbursed, I’ve now found another issue.

Our van was originally ascot grey but has been made into a two tone at conversion with the other colour being starlight blue. When washing the van yesterday I noticed what I originally thought was a chip on the underside of the van, on closer inspection the paint has peeled off from the underside in numerous places. The paint is thin when peeled. The nearside is worse than the offside. The van has only ever been washed by hand, no pressure washing at all. Before I go into battle any ideas what has caused this and how to proceed. This is the 3rd issue we’ve had and I’m keen not to have to waste a load more time. Pictures below,

Funny the roof issue was due to bad prep, where water had been present when the roof was sprayed and so over time it cracked.

I should have said the van is 2.5 years old but I’ve had it since new.

Should there be some undercoat? I don’t know anything about spray paint but know it shouldn’t flake like this.

Doesn't necessarily need primer depending on what prep is needed but almost new paint can usually be scotched, cleaned, painted and clear coated. Where it's come off underneath especially just looks lazy tbh
