I’ve had a good read of the steering wheel threads, so apologies for brining this up again I’d just like to make sure I’ve bought the correct wheel. Will my airbag and switch gear on to this wheel? Old and new wheel pics for comparison cheers.

Just be careful prising off the gloss black trim, there's not much slack in the wires to the paddles.

They can be used anytime but if the lever isn’t to the right it will revert to auto if you don’t use them again after a short time which can be a surprise if you are suddenly two gears higher than you selected and want to accelerate, you can also put it back into auto by pulling and holding the + paddle for a couple of seconds.

Thats good, sometimes when driving up a hill the engine can be reving its nuts of and moving a gear would be better, IMHO.
