Hi All, Advice needed please.
Have a T32 Kombi with Bilstein coilovers and 264/40/20 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. Van curently at VW for left sliding door issue - found water had knackered some module and so door wasn't woking. They are seeing if it has come from the roof bars or seal around the rear quarter window.
During their vehicle check (video sent to me) they have noticed that the flexors into the aftermarket calipers have been leaking. I don't know what any of these mean (absolutely NO car knowledge whatsoever). They won't touch it as aftermarket product and I can probably get someone to look into in a couple of weeks (van used at weekends only) - but can someone explain in layman terms what this means and if it's safe to drive or not?
TIA

VW are hypocrites, their really expensive Sportline model's are base model vans Botched and modified by an independent workshop in WALES . the workmanship is bad and really expensive . Also the Vans aren't supported by the dealers as the Reg numbers come up on the VW system as a Startline van not a sportline and they cant quote for the accessories fitted.

Do the mean perhaps the flexi's, the rubber hose between caliper and brake pipe?

I'd ask where there leaking from, but could be an opportune moment to fit some Goodridge items.

I personally wouldn't drive a vehicle with even the slightest suspicion of a brake issue. If it goes wrong at best you'll need a new van, at worst you'll be doing a 5 stretch and tying to figure out how to pick up the soap without bending over.
