Floor battens?

I'm currently fitting my floor to my t6

I've got a 8mm MDF veneers with an additional 1mm oak either side (10mm floor total)

Do I need to lay batons?...
Can I not just bond it directly to the metal corrogations of the van floor??

The mdf/oak will be sealed with an oil.

Not sure using MDF is a good choice but there’s loadsa threads to search / tag onto on the subject on here...

Without battons you may have floor sag or floor creak in the unsupported area... also MDF soaks up water/condensation like a sponge and goes all soggy . . . . So dont rush, take some time and research some more.

I recently had a customer ask us to install one of these floors for them. Upon examining the product we re packaged it and said politely that we would rather not. The product is an attrocious fit, I honestly think a child with crayola scissors could cut a better template. Please post up pics of the fit when you are finished and a review of how the floor has held up to day to day use after a few months so that others can make an educated decision prior to purchasing the same floor as you.
