Floor brackets

Hello

Just a quick question....does anyone know if VW changed the floor brackets when they updated the single rear seat to make it fold flat in later models? I bought a 2+1 set with the single that tilts but I want to change it to the one that folds flat in due course, provided I don't have to update the brackets.

Thanks,

Richard

If your talking about the t5.1 2+1 seats the single (which doesn't fold flat) is just the same fitment as the t6 which folds flat.. on my old t5.1 I bought a t6 seat so could have all the rear seats flat for a forty winks bed and fitted fine!

Thanks Stu. Nice one - this answers my question and was what I was hoping for! I think the seats are from a T6 but just a slightly older model, before the +1 folded flat. I'll keep my eye out for a fold flat single now!

If I understand the question correctly...

The three across rear seats (One unit, folds flat) in the 6.1 have two fixing spots which are positioned equally spaced across the van's centre line. This is not compatible with 2+1 seating which requires more fixing points. I have looked into converting mine from the three across to the 2+1 and it entails installing more fixing points in the floor.

Hi Nigel. I think Stu answered it. No, it's rather that I want to replace one single seat for another in the back of my Transporter. No issue with the spacing - it's just whether it's the same bracket going on. Thanks!

Ya if you already have a 2+1 setup they fit the same brackets regardless if the seat folds flat or just tilts

They do go for good money so expect to have to pay a bit :-/ when I sold the t5 I put the original seat back in but then the new owner then came back to purchase the t6 seat as had the same idea.. no idea why they never designed it to fold flat from the beginning
