Flooring & existing rear set brackets advice

Hi
Just after some advice before i start to do the flooring in the rear of the van.

Do i need to remove the floor mounted brackets for the existing rear bench seat or can they stay in place when installing a ply floor to then be covered over. If removal is needed does that leave big holes that require covering, welding or similar. Not sure what to expect so trying to plan it out before i start

I was going to glue down ply packers between the ribs and sound / insulate then cover in ply sheet to put some sort of covering over that

thanks

You could go over them with ply but your floor would be significantly higher ... I believe they leave bolt holes if you take them out, so yes you'd need to seal them up somehow.
