Right lets start here despite the kit above I'm bargain basement lets just say I got lucky with the speakers...I drive a 2006 T5, I like music I play and record have some base knowledge of sound. I've probably deadened my doors within an inch of their life outer skin iner skin just going through my previous attempts now upgrading anything missed and doing door cards. why because basically big old transporter doors seem a cr*p place to place a woofer. Tis not only the door but the speaker placement is so low. So my mindset is try as best I can to make the door as good as possible without going completely nutz. I like making stuff so plausibly could go nutz but don't really want to . I'll cobble up some speaker mounts meself out of baltic birch ply.which is what we used for the whole kitchen/cupboard/s camper build
Essentially I want to add a 3rd componemt IE mid range driver 30/40mm to these 2 way componemts and go a bit bonkers with an A panel build........a sub is not on the cards right now at all.but again that 3rd speaker is more of a dream and probably some way off
I'm looking for an amp.my headunit is also dated pioneer MVH 280BT...with the 165MM woofers being 2ohm 100W rms I'm def gonna need something to bridge the power gap I don't want to go crazy loud I'm more digging for nice sound than loud I'm probably looking at used......I DO NOT want to upgrade alternator or starter battery...I do have a 230AH roamer SB leisure batt if that isi of potential use.
in an ideal world like like to squiirrel the amp under the dash somewhere.both seat bases are chocka with off grid camper leccy.
Basically i'll stop there I have a zilion other questions and have been searching this site and others for days an watched that many viids my head hurts.so lets start with an amp
and possibly as an extra question as it will be my next job is there anyway to improve speaker performance within the design constaints of a speaker mount which is basically a tube.I'm not talking gaskets I'm talking shape.thickness of walls that type of thing?
