Fog light retrofit - no hole for pdc - can I just drill one?

My fog light retrofit kit does not have PDC holes - am I right in thinking that I can just drill them and glue the pdc sensor to the back of the new fog light trim?

As per these piccies (not mine, stolen from on here):

Mine does not have the hole

Had this done and my old T5.1 ,(Hazey Days fitted them)

The kit comes with the support brackets.

....

Drill the holes, and then fit these support brackets... Glued on.

The brackets are used to template the hole.

I have bought the incorrect trim to add fogs to my T6.

I have my standard non fog trim with pdc holes and brackets and new fog holed trim with no pdc holes.

Will I be able to cut holes for the pdc and move over the brackets from my old trim?

I assume ti would mean some dremelling, tidying up and glueing the old pdc brackets onto the new trim?

Will it be difficult or look shit?!

New correct ones are seemingly usually gloss (which I dont think I want) or of unknown quality unless I go for expensive OEM ones
