Get in our Strava club @Shredder  Strava!!!

LoL .... I'm afraid Strava gave me my most serious Hospital visit to date .... I don't switch it on anymore !! Was trying for a Top 20 position (out of around 1,100) and the run got a bit wild and overly loose

Strava's pretty much done now really isn't it. It's too inaccurate and people have found ways of frigging 1 min 30 sec tracks down to 25secs to KoM

Nice bus dude, let’s see the two wheel rig as well

I've made a couple of changes since it was built but this is mostly it. Notably gone to the Ohlins TTX22M race light coil from the standard STX22 air which came with the frame. IMO the Ohlins air is sh*te (in many ways) for 170mm duties...

:eek::eek: Kin’ell that’s some serious kit. I’d kill myself on that  I’m strictly both tyres on the ground XC sort of guy.

Nice Spesh, I struggle to tell the difference between the models, looks like a carbon Stumpy?

I’ve put a small fork mount contraption in the back of my van, although my bike fits ok with the front wheel turned slightly I don’t like things rattling around in the back and the mount keeps it all solid.

Cheers ! Yep you're right, it is carbon ... but it's the S-Works Enduro 650b, so it's 170mm front and back. The rest is custom as did a build from frame set.

I've seen those fork mounts, it takes the thru axle once the front wheel is out ?? They're a great idea and look like the best thing for holding a bike(s) in place for sure. Pretty much like the mechanism some of the roof rack bike carriers use.

It took me a while to work out how you'd stood that up to take the picture. Very clever.

I often used to wonder the same myself when looking at Mountain Biking mags or adverts. Some photographers even airbrush out the prop as well.

Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the idea. That picture was taken by a professional Mountain Bike photographer to be used as a promotional picture for the NOBL rims used in that build

All that photo is missing is some silky tarmac and a proper bike.

Great van, and although I have a SWB, we do a lot of group trips in my mates LWB which will take all 5 bikes and kit in the back.
All that lovely lining will soon be getting some hammer !!!.

Yep that has crossed my mind  Thing is, the lining isn't just cosmetic. It repels heat (van stood in sunny car parks) and another layer is sound deadening. So I quite fancied having it fitted. My first van was beyond 'oven-like' when I used to return to it and open the tailgate. Most people on this Forum probably know all about that. So, I'm all for anything that can be done to help with that.

I've got a plan with the way I'm going to fit out the back which should really help protect it. Plus, I won't be acting as a taxi for any mates who don't get the fact that I actually give a sh*t about my property ...... I'm one of those "if I'd wanted a Skip, I'd have bought one" type of people :D

LoL ..... I'm erring towards not taking this usual 'Lycra clad' bait :D .... although I'm dying to make some points

To be fair as I do both on and off road, my cycling chums and I all agree that off road is tougher. We do off road for fun and on road for fitness. I just prefer tarmac to mud, but get both sides of the coin.

Still faster though.

LoL .... Personally, I just prefer how many more dimensions there are to Mountain Biking ... particularly negotiating Downhill tracks. I agree, speed is fun but speed without complexity - just coasting down some smooth tarmac !?! Fitness ... I just go to the gym regularly and have even been seen pedaling back up fire roads to the top of some tracks now and then

There's some right fitness willy waving going on in this thread. I think we should have a group ride out somewhere
