A few threads have recommended getting vehicles weighed in relation to both suspension and speed limit issues, but I can't find any results; so here are mine.
MY19 T32 Kombi 150 BMT single slider with tail gate.
Weighed approx 50 miles before the fuel light came on, empty without driver or passenger.
2000kg of which 1240kg on front axle and 760kg on rear axle.
Adding 200kg for fuel and occupants to an otherwise empty van has the front axle loaded to approx 84% of its capacity, and the rear to approx 44% of its capacity.
An interesting aside to this is the apparent relationship between the often heard "my van is more comfortable with some load in the back", and that the T28 & T30 are more comfortable than the T32. The explanation appears to be that a similarly specified T30 in unladen condition is already using about 47% of the rear axle load capacity, and the T28 about 50% of the rear axle load capacity.
Oh dear, I think I need to get a life.........
