Front Cab : Floor / Seat / Leisure Battery - Renovation (Help?)

What started out as a plan to replace the 1+2 Standard Seating set up, it soon escalated into a clear out and clear up that’s making me look at it all (in for a penny, in for hopefully max a grand !)

Quick bit of background - I pick up a converted 2018 T6 LWB just before Xmas and other than changing the stock steering wheel, adding a new stereo, then a comfort dash, and a dash cam - I’ve not ventured to far into peeling things back - until now..

I’m going to start by taking everything up not only to clean, and understand a bit more about all the electric wiring underneath - but what else should I do, should I sound deaden while I’m here, the thick rubber flooring is worn down and has holes in places too - recommendations on changing that?

Recommendation on how best to tidy all these pig tails up ? Can I simplify it ? Do I need three pig tails looking for ignition/switch live ?

Orange wire look like it goes under drivers seat, another is for a dash cam, another is for main stereo video feed.

Ok, I’ve taken the rubber mat out, and made a start on cleaning it but there looks to be pockets of rust around the floor, and as the section under the pedals had warn out, water’s obviously got in and there’s a section of rust / ingrained dirt there. Any recommendations for treating that?

Found a good video to handle the rust, have bought many of the bits - and that’s my first plan for the weekend.

Coming back to the fuse box, with the floor up, I’m keen to install any wires/cables that would benefit me over time. First up, using this forum, and only one video I could find online - it seems I can use these wires with their connectors to reduce/remove all the piggy back cables - and create a dedicated circuit to fuse on the board..

Part one of the floor clean up and upgrade is complete…

I had to sand back the rust under the drivers feet, caused by that rip/tear in the rubber matting, I’ve then spray painted it with Hammeright, clean it all up, Prep sprays it too, and have layer the Dodo Deadn (4.5mm) matting..

I need to put in some feeds for dashcam and powerfold mirrors etc to tidy up stuff in our van , where did you get your piggy back fuse holders ?

Hi @JumpShip,

In my case, those pigtails came with my Wolfgang dash/rear camera. (they supplied a pack of each type/size) - but Amazon have them.

One of my other key jobs is to replace those piggy back fuses** as things are getting pretty messy in that area.

To do that, I’m trying to work out exactly how to wire my needs directly into the lower dash fuse board and remove some (maybe all) of those tails (thanks to @Dellmassive for helping)

**The Wolfgang dash/rear camera takes up two slots, another slot is used for my secondary rear camera and the fourth goes to the split charger.
