Front seat options

my van got delivered with 1 + 1 front seats instead of 2+1, have I been short changed finacially or is that a no cost option?

Quite frankly I can live with 5 seats and in someways its actually a bigger better seat for any passengers.

2 Front seats are great - lots of comfort and elbow room.
Space for bags between front seats.
Easy access from front to back.
If you don't need 6 seats then I would be happy with the 5.

I paid extra for the double front seat bizarrely, missus wanted extra seats, about £270 with the fold down storage, I would have a word with them.

If I can convince them to let me have the money towards rear spoiler I will be happy. Got to go back over the shit way they cut the material around seat belt on the rear seats

They just bolt in, as far as I can tell there is a double sided bolt that screws into the floor and the seats sit on top of those. There are a common set for the single and the left hand side of the double and four extra for the double. Should be just a case of disconnecting the electrics under the seat, unbolting the single and then screwing in the four extra fittings then bolting the double down and reconnecting the electrics . Providing the bolts are double sided and the holes are there for the double the whole job should take about half an hour

Check you log book when it comes as it may show 6 seats instead of 5 then you get to have fun with DVLA

I was looking for a single passenger seat and it was harder to find - seems like more vans have a double passenger.

Other than actually needing to carry 6 people, why would you want a double up front? They're so uncomfortable! No lumbar support, can't even recline the thing!
Although mine came from the factory with 5 seats but my V5 says 6...

I'm well comfortable up front in mine, single drivers seat, arm rests

The missus sits on the double, it was her idea

To be honest though the double isn't that bad, plus you get the extra storage underneath and folds flat if needed for carrying long stuff.

It may affect your insurance? It could be argued that it is modified in the seating arrangement from what the factory/log book says. I got the dealer to send a letter in to DVLA on mine as it was meant to come with 6 and has 5. Log book said 6. Waiting for the new one to come

Ok well if thats the only thing then I wont bother ha

Going to let lease company know so they dont think I have stolen a seat when it goes back.

When i tried to change my double front for a single at the dealers when i brought my 5.1 years ago they said they would not supply me one as the air bag configuration is different between a double and single . No idea if this info was even correct or applies to the t6 but thought i would mention it .

I'm about to order my next T6, I'd prefer 1+1 but my little girl loves sitting in the front middle seat.
