20210730_210954.jpgHi all,
New to the group. I've had my 2018 T6 campervan conversion for about 6 weeks now, I've done lots of work in the back of the van using the leisure battery and fuse board etc... but I am struggling with the front. Image of the dash fuse board for your viewing pleasure

I'd like to know which of the spare ways or which fuse I can piggy back off for the below please:
The fuse for the internal front centre light or a fuse/spare way which powers on when the remote key unlocks the car and powers off when the remote locks the car or the engine starts (like the internal lights)

Also the fuse for the day time running lights too please.

If those fuses are in the engine bay, any direction towards the fuse number would be appreciated. Thanks all!

Shame vw don't label them up, I appreciate all are different but fuse boards in different houses are different but they still get labelled.

Thanks Loz
I have 1 more question regarding the fuse box,
I have this USB port in the dash board, it does nothing. according to the fuse diagram that you sent me the fuse should be in the 5th down on the left side. However, there is no fuse there (or connectors inside the slot) is there another fuse for this USB port please? or can you tell me where it's wired back to please?
Thanks

Probably connected directly to the OEM headunit

Hi Loz
The head unit has been swapped from the original to a Kenwood touch screen, I can't see where the cable from the back of the USb goes, it doesn't seem to go anywhere near the Stereo

The usb is powered direct from stereo, if your headunit has been changed it will require a usb retention kit or it will be dead
The fuse your are thinking about is only there if you have comfort dashboard with multiple USB ports then the fuse powers the usb hub hidden inside dash

Shame vw don't label them up,

l agree, pretty poor show from VW, not even a list in the Owners Manual.
I needed to change a fuse the other day for the first time since I’ve owned a T6, and if it wasn’t for this excellent forum I would have ended up having to take out every single fuse one at a time and physically checked to see which one had blown.
I remember back when I had a BMW 5 series, there was a pull out plastic card inside the fuse box with a diagram of every fuses location, it’s number and which component it was protecting.

Hi Loz, this is extremely helpful. Can I ask a question regarding SC30 Mirrors, oil and temp sensor, Headlight Range control fuse. If there is any issue with this fuse could it potentially cause an issue where EML light flashes and Carista quotes a specific, but generic fault code (16056). My local garage has replaced oil pressure sensors but the problem still persists.

SC30 supplies lots of critical things, if you had an issue with that circuit your dash would be lit up like a christmas tree and van would shows loads of errors all over the place

Is the cover for this fuse array easy to remove?
Why are the fuses for the top dash fag lighter missing?

easy to get to if you remover the bottle holder under the gear stick.

the fuse in that picture is missing because I don’t have the top dash 12v outlet.

Neither, it’s the box type like above and below the space.

Yes, but unless you had one there, the top dash fuse can also be in 2 other locations.
Are you trying to fix your top dash 12v socket?
Do you have a factory fitted secondary battery (under passenger seat)?

My top socket has never worked since I bought the van, the sc40 is empty. I have a bench passenger seat on swivel, hope it's not under there. I have no factory second battery.

Interesting, I wonder why the fuse was removed? look In the socket and check there is nothing in there like a coin.
